Legal Pages Editor (Privacy, Terms, Refund, Shipping Policy)
Write and maintain your store's Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy, starting from a pre-written draft.
Every legitimate online store needs a clear set of legal pages. BillionBiz gives you four, each starting from a pre-written draft you personalise with your own details.
Screen: Online Store → Pages → Legal Pages.
Note
If your store is on the new admin sidebar, this screen renders differently from the description below — see The new-sidebar layout at the end of this page for what's different.
What you can do
- Edit four policy documents: Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy.
- Start from BillionBiz's pre-written draft for each policy, or write your own from scratch.
- Preview the rendered page before you save.
- Review and roll back to an earlier saved version from the history panel.
Editing a policy
Pick a document
The left-hand sidebar lists all four policy types. Click one to open it in the editor.
Write or paste your policy
The main panel is a rich-text editor with a formatting toolbar — bold, italic, headings, and bulleted lists, no HTML knowledge required.
Insert BillionBiz's starter draft (optional)
Use the template dropdown above the editor to insert BillionBiz's pre-written starter draft for the policy you're editing. This is useful both for a first draft and for resetting a policy you've edited if you want to start over.
Preview
Click Preview to see the policy exactly as customers will see it on your storefront, before saving.
Save
Click Save. The "last updated" date shown next to the policy name updates immediately.
Tip
Each policy shows when it was last updated, right next to its name in the editor header — a quick way to check whether a page needs a refresh.
Version history
Click History in the toolbar to open the version panel for the policy you're currently editing. From there you can review earlier saved versions and roll back to one if a recent edit needs to be undone.
Where customers see these pages
Once saved, each policy is automatically linked in your store's footer, so customers can always find it — you don't need to add these links to your navigation yourself. Keeping these pages accurate and current matters both for customer trust and for regulatory compliance in the regions you sell to.
The new-sidebar layout
On the new admin sidebar, Legal Pages opens as four pill tabs — Privacy, Terms, Refund, and Shipping — with the same rich-text editor in the centre and a Save policy button below it. The right-hand rail adds a few extras not available on the classic layout:
- Search preview — a live mock of how the policy's title and description would look in a Google search result, with a meta-description field and a character counter (160-character limit) underneath it.
- Show in storefront navigation — a toggle for whether the policy appears in your storefront's navigation, with a hint describing the current state.
- Last updated — the same "last updated" stamp as the classic layout, shown as a pill in the rail.
- Quick-paste templates — an expandable accordion of ready-made clauses specific to the policy you're editing (for example, cookie consent and third-party processors for Privacy, or damaged-on-arrival and exchange-only for Refund) that insert straight into the editor.
Not saved to your policy yet
The search-preview title/description (marked Not saved yet on the card) and the storefront-navigation toggle are session-local — they reset when you leave the page, so re-enter them if you need them again. Only the policy content itself and its "last updated" date are actually saved.
