Signing Up & Onboarding Your Store
Every screen in the five-step self-service wizard that takes you from a bare email address to a live, sellable store.
Opening a store on BillionBiz is entirely self-service. There is no sales call and no waiting on a platform admin — the whole thing is a guided wizard on the public site that finishes with a live storefront and an Admin Panel login.
What you get
- A five-step wizard that verifies your email, collects your business details, checks your subdomain, and lets you pick a plan — all in one sitting.
- Your store is created the moment you finish the Review step, even before you pay for a paid plan.
- If you choose a paid plan, you can pay immediately or skip and pay later from the Admin Panel — you are never blocked from getting your store.
Before you start
Go to billionbiz.in and click Get Started. The wizard runs in your browser as a single page that advances through five steps — you can go back to any earlier step to fix something before you submit.
The five-step wizard
About You — verify your email
Enter your full name and email address, your phone number, your role (Founder, Marketing Manager, Developer, or Other), and your company name.
Next to the phone number field is a country code dropdown: +1 US, +44 UK, +91 IN, +61 AU, and +1 CA. Pick the one matching your number before you continue.
Email verification happens on this same screen. Click Send OTP and a six-digit code arrives in your inbox within seconds. Type it into the six-digit code field — the wizard will not let you continue until the code is confirmed.
If the email is already registered
If the address you enter already belongs to an existing BillionBiz account, a banner appears next to the field: "This email is already registered," with a Log in → link straight to the Admin Panel. Use that link instead of continuing the signup wizard with the same email.
A few protections run quietly in the background so this step can't be abused:
- You can request at most 3 codes per hour for the same email address. If you hit that limit, wait before trying again.
- Each code allows 5 incorrect attempts before it is locked — request a fresh one if you run out.
- A code expires 10 minutes after it's sent. If yours expires, click Resend OTP (it becomes available 60 seconds after the previous send) to get a new one.
Business Info — name your store and check your subdomain
Enter your store/business name, your industry (Fashion, Beauty, Electronics, Food & Beverage, Home & Living, Health & Wellness, or Other), and your business size (just you, 2–10 people, 10–50, or 50+).
When you click or tab out of the store name field, BillionBiz checks whether that name is
available as your subdomain — you'll see a green confirmation or a prompt to pick something else.
The check runs once you leave the field, not on every keystroke, so finish typing your full store
name before checking the result. Subdomains must be 3–30 characters, lowercase
letters/numbers/hyphens only, and can't be a reserved word like admin, shop, store, test,
or www. Your subdomain becomes part of your store's web address (yourname.billionbiz.in), so
it's worth choosing something you'll want to keep.
Choose Plan
Pick Free, Premium, or Enterprise. See Pricing & Plans for the full feature breakdown of each tier. You can start on Free and upgrade at any time later from the Admin Panel — choosing a paid plan here does not lock you in immediately (see the payment step below).
At the top of this step, a Monthly / Annual toggle switches the prices shown below it — Annual is flagged Save ~20%. Choose whichever cycle you want to be billed on before picking a plan; this is the same choice you'll be able to change later from Settings.
If your account also has hosting plans available, a second row of tabs appears above the plan list: Online Store and Hosting. Online Store is selected by default and lists the storefront plans (Free/Premium/Enterprise); switching to the Hosting tab shows a separate set of hosting-only plans instead. Pick a plan from whichever tab matches what you're signing up for.
Below the plan list, a Compare all store features (or Compare all hosting features, on the Hosting tab) link expands a full side-by-side feature matrix for the active tab's plans, so you can check a specific feature without leaving the wizard.
Review & agree to terms
A summary card shows everything you entered. Click Back to correct anything. Tick the checkbox confirming you've read the Agreement, Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cancellation Policy, then click Launch Store (Free plan) or Create Store & Continue to Payment (paid plans).
Your store, your admin account, and your first 30 days of subscription are created at this moment — on the Free tier, even if you selected a paid plan. This is a safety net: if payment fails or you close the tab, your store already exists.
Payment (paid plans only)
If you chose Premium or Enterprise, a payment screen appears. BillionBiz supports card and net banking payments through a secure Razorpay checkout. Once the payment is verified, your plan upgrades immediately — no separate confirmation step needed.
You can also click Skip — continue on Free plan to stay on Free and upgrade later from the Admin Panel's Settings → Billing & Plan. This payment window is only available for about an hour after your store is created, so if you skip it, upgrade from Settings → Billing & Plan afterward rather than trying to return to this screen.
What happens right after you submit
The moment your store is created, BillionBiz provisions it in the background — your admin account is created and a welcome email with your login credentials is sent to the address you verified in Step 1. Your password is never shown on screen; it only ever arrives by email. The success screen confirms your email address and gives you a Log In to Admin Panel button — it does not display your store's URL, so keep the welcome email handy if you need that link. The screen also spells out that you are not automatically signed in: use the credentials from the email to log in yourself.
If something goes wrong mid-signup
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You close the browser partway through | Nothing is saved — the form does not persist between page loads. Start again from Get Started. |
| Someone else claims your subdomain first | You'll see the "taken" message when it happens; pick another one. Your subdomain is re-checked again right before your store is created, so a last-second conflict is still caught. |
| Store creation succeeds but something fails during setup | You still land on a result screen with your details; contact support if your store or admin login doesn't work as expected. |
