Your Web Address: Subdomain & Custom Domains
Every store gets a free subdomain on day one. Connect a domain you already own by adding a DNS record and verifying it.
Every BillionBiz store needs a web address customers can reach it at. You get one for free the moment your store is created, and you can connect your own domain whenever you're ready.

Your free subdomain
Every store gets a free web address the moment it's created — yourstore.billionbiz.in. It's live,
secure, and shareable from day one with no setup required. From the Domains screen you can copy the
link, open it directly to see your storefront, or edit it.
To change your subdomain slug, click Edit next to it, type the new slug, and press Save. The full address updates immediately once saved — share the new link with customers going forward.
Connecting a custom domain
Plan requirement
Connecting a custom domain requires the Starter plan or above. On a lower plan, the Custom Domain panel shows an upgrade message instead of the domain field — upgrade your plan first.
If you already own a domain — for example, yourstore.com — you can point it at your BillionBiz
store so customers reach you at your own brand address.
Enter your domain and save
Type your domain into the Custom Domain field and save. BillionBiz shows you the exact DNS record
to add — a CNAME record for the www subdomain, pointing at BillionBiz's servers.
Add the record at your domain registrar
Log into wherever you bought the domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or similar) and add the CNAME record exactly as shown. DNS changes typically propagate within a few minutes to a few hours.
Verify
Back in the Domains screen, press Verify. BillionBiz checks the DNS record automatically and, once confirmed, provisions a free HTTPS (SSL) certificate for your domain — the padlock appears in customers' browsers without any extra step from you.
The Domains screen shows your domain's live status at all times:

Connecting the bare root domain (no www)
The www CNAME is the reliable, recommended path. If you also want the bare root — yourdomain.com
with no www — to work, either turn on "Forward / Redirect" to www at your registrar, or, if your
registrar supports CNAME flattening, ALIAS, or ANAME records, point one of those at the same target
you were given for the CNAME. A plain A-record isn't recommended: BillionBiz's endpoint is a managed
load-balancer address, not a fixed IP, so a hardcoded A-record can silently break if that address
changes later.
No lock-in
If you ever want to remove a connected custom domain and revert to your free subdomain, that's a single click on the Domains screen.
Buying a new domain through BillionBiz (coming soon)
Screen: Online Store → Buy Domain. This is a different, separate screen from Settings → Domains above — it's for merchants who don't already own a domain and want to register a brand new one, rather than connecting one they already have.
Not live yet
The Buy Domain screen is a preview of what's coming — it's explicitly labelled "Coming soon" in the product, and the domain search on the page doesn't actually check availability yet. Don't tell customers or merchants they can purchase a domain through BillionBiz today; the only way to get a web address right now is the free subdomain or connecting a domain you already own, both covered above.
Once live, the plan is to let you search across hundreds of TLDs, buy a domain with your existing BillionBiz billing method, have it auto-connect to your store with no DNS steps, and manage renewals, transfers, and WHOIS privacy from the same screen.
